Global Functions (GFs) play a vital role in supporting the bank’s Global Businesses and offer a broad range of career opportunities in areas from legal, risk and finance to human resources, sustainability, marketing and communications. Their operational and functional teams around the world help HSBC’s Global Businesses to operate efficiently and effectively on a day-to-day basis. They also focus on controls and governance to reduce risk and protect the Group’s reputation.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a Group Reporting Officer.
In this role, you will:
Performing impact analysis on reporting change request system
- Review HUB and FTP change including Change Requests and Dry run for Group reporting, liase with FTP team and guide GFC on the validation the impact of those changes to reporting
Preparing monthly financial and regulatory reports
- Managing all data relating to reporting accurately and ensure data be retrievable on time.
- Provide timely preparation, processing, reconciliation and clean up data issues for GLEAM
- Prepare monthly ECL reconciliation between CIR and FTP and provide the reconciliation for business
- Prepare manual adjustments PJPs for Group reporting, approved by more senior colleagues
- Update any changes about IAS, IFRS and Group Reporting Standard regularly
- Work independently and co-operatively with other department to give the appropriate ways/ solutions to solve problems
Coordinate with GFOC team to prepare monthly commentary and analysis
- Review GFC working and commentary on the movement of BS, PL and off BS
- Provide analysis of variances and drivers of financial data primarily to Partnering & Insight and Governance & Control
- Support review Quarterly Group Reporting for all IFRS, HKMA, FINREP, GSIB,etc. requirements
- Support analysts to respond to regular and ad hoc report requests, from finance and non-finance customers
Backup person for Financial Reporting Manager in daily/monthly reporting tasks
To perform any ad hoc requirements as assigned.
Maintain HSBC control standards and follow Group Compliance Policy to minimize operational risk by:
- Remaining compliant with and ensures awareness of Audit and Group requirements and other internal guidelines
- Ensuring strict compliance with government banking regulations
- Timely implementing internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

- Financial accounting knowledge
- Accuracy & carefulness in working with data.
- Good at English (especially reading & writing skills)
- Microsoft Office software
