Job Description

  • Ensuring all HSBC GBM clients are provided with correct client consent documentation for data sharing
  • Ensuring that the client consent status & data for all new and existing HSBC GMB clients is correctly gathered and stored according to set policies
  • Acting as a central point of contact for escalation of client consent issues such as refusal to sign, or requests for Amendments to standard client consent agreements. Provides support and guidance to client-facing  teams for these non-standard cases
  • Ensuring regular audits of new clients to ensure that the process of client consent is being correctly followed.
  • Identifying and reporting  instances  non-compliance with the client consent policy are identified
  • Remediation of client consent issues
  • Where applicable process is evaluation  and improvement for client consent
  • Provide leadership, guidance, expertise and support on all client consent process to team members
  • Liaison with HSBC legal teams to ensure escalations & negotiations to client consent agreements are conducted according to set policies
  • Ensure compliance with regional / local data sharing legislation by promoting and following client consent policies
  • Ensure company regulatory reporting obligations can be upheld by ensuring correct client consent data records are held.
  • Mitigate the risk of prosecution and/or reputational damage due to unauthorized or unlawful sharing of customer data by promoting and following client policies

Job Requirement

  • 2-5 years operational experience in client onboarding/client consent/compliance/operations in financial institution
  • Demonstrated knowledge on regulatory KYC requirement
  • Strong operational and control experience gained in Investment Banking environment preferred
  • Proven track record of working closely with key business users both client-facing and back-office
  • Prior experience working with diverse and geographically dispersed business teams
  • Strong MS Office Skills (MS Excel, MS Word)
  • Experience in trade reporting/regulatory reporting/management reporting
  • Attention to Detail
  • An excellent communicator with strong oral and written skills
  • A highly motivated and pro-active self starter
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Flexible worker who demonstrates adaptability
  • Able to work under tight deadlines; Will commit to delivery on time
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently under minimal supervision
