We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a CRE Business Development Manager

In this role, you will:

• Develop the country CRE strategy, develop and execute a healthy CRE pipeline and robust client acquisition
• Working together with LLC RMs/ CMBO and related GB products to convert pipelines, deepen strategic wallet, manage risk effectively of structured and sizable transactions.
• Penetrate major players in their respective line of business, with potential capital finance wallet or transaction banking scale or structured products. Ability to leverage on the Bank’s inbound franchise to identify opportunities in supply chain
• Share industry insights with internal stakeholders; facilitate RMs to grow CRE and related business in sustainable manner
• Keep the Bank up-to-date with industry regulations and practices.
• Build a network with local professional (valuers, lawyers etc…) and business community and grow HSBC profile in the industry.
• Effectively act as First Line of Defense covering client selection, deal structuring, transaction and client monitoring and early detection of warning signals. Support the team to structure appropriate credit facilities for the customer with technical CRE loan underwriting standards and in alignment with local regulations/ practices.
• Ensure the team is aware and equipped to manage financial crime risk related to real estate industry. Frequently update related stakeholders of the dynamics of local real estate market and related environment. 
• Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business e.g. industry cycle, economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements
• Ability to navigate through local environment complexities and assess the related risks when onboarding New-to-Bank LLC groups

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• At minimum, the role is expected to hold University degree and over 5 years of experiences.
• Preferably with banking related background and ideally possesses experiences in working in CRE corporates/ local companies/ complex transactions.
• It would be helpful for the candidate to have connections with industry players and authority and profound understanding of the real estate and related industries.
• Examples of potential targets can be from Large Corporate bankers with CRE exposures, business investment teams of real estate development companies, debt capital market team from real estate advisory firm; investment bankers with experiences with CRE or local corporates.
