Job Description

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of BRCM & Regulatory Compliance Manager, RBWM

  • Assist Head of BRCM in building appropriate operational controls based on risk assessments to ensure that the Group’s Operational Risk Management Framework is met and fully adhered to.
  • Implement Risks and Control Framework including control monitoring plans, key indicators and effective control reporting to minimize operational risk in RBWM business and form adequate control in the ‘First Line of Defence’.
  • Roll out Risk Assessment Process: RCA/ TRA scoping, refresh RCA assessments, risk appetite statements.
  • Provide advice to RBWM teams to ensure robust risk and control management capabilities within RBWM
  • Deliver best operational practice through BRCM activities, themed RBWM business reviews, liaison with RBWM teams and other functional areas.
  • Build key stakeholder relationships to ensure forthcoming Group or external initiatives are considered for change on risk and control environment.
  • Conduct trainings/ briefings to RBWM management teams to ensure a high level of risk awareness and compliance

Job Requirement

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 5years competent experience in identification, assessment, monitoring and control of operational risk within a business or project management function or equivalent and good analytical, planning, project management experience
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, related field or equivalent experience
  • Good understanding of operational risk and controls, compliance and legal issues, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles
  • Good knowledge of the Group and the RBWM business, including products & services
  • Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to handle multi-tasks, prioritize and work independently under pressure within a team environment
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with all stakeholders
  • The ability to work independently and work with various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment
